HammondCare Darlinghurst is currently looking for several CASUAL Carers to join our team.

With our unique model of care which places the residents' needs as your number one priority, you will help create a home away from home in our 'Cottage' Model of accommodation. This role requires you to have patience, kindness, and live by HammondCare's values.

You will be responsible for:

  • Personal care – showering, grooming, toileting etc.
  • Provide life engagement and promote daily activities.
  • Support residents impacted by homelessness.
  • Recognise, report and respond appropriately to changes in the conditions of residents within your skills and competencies.

To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Have a genuine passion for serving elderly people who face homelessness or are already homeless.
  • Be flexible and able to commit to a range of shifts including mornings, evenings, nights & weekends.
  • Value teamwork but also be able to work independently and show initiative.
  • Connect and dedicate person-centred care to elderly residents experiencing tough times.
  • Work with an allied health team and Pastoral Care team as well as volunteers.
