Solution Architect - FinOps role at Suncorp Group. This newly created role is a direct result of Suncorp's bold Cloud-First strategy, an exciting opportunity to make a real impact. You will be at the forefront of driving cost optimisation across Suncorp's multi-cloud environment, ensuring we extract maximum business value from every initiative.
LocationBrisbane, Sydney or Melbourne with hybrid flexibility.
Responsibilities- Define current, transition, and target state solution architectures aligned with domain and group strategy.
- Provide design leadership, ensuring solutions are reusable, scalable, secure, and implementable.
- Evaluate FinOps tooling and lead the implementation of a modern, efficient stack.
- Identify and modernise inefficient FinOps processes, driving documentation, best practices, and cost-conscious workflows.
- Provide technical leadership and influence stakeholders to embed a culture of cloud cost optimisation across the organisation.
- Minimum 5 years IT experience, including 3 years in IT Architecture or Design.
- Hands-on cloud solution architecture experience, including AWS and/or Azure.
- Exposure to FinOps practices and cloud cost optimisation.
- Strong influencing and stakeholder management skills to drive alignment and change.
- Familiarity with ArchiMate, Agile and Lean methodologies (desired), and background in insurance or financial services (desired).
