Key duties:

  • Develop and implement lesson plans and instructional materials that align with the Victorian curriculum.
  • Establish and maintain a positive and orderly classroom environment conducive to learning, including managing student behaviour, fostering positive relationships, and promoting mutual respect among students.
  • Design and administer assessments to evaluate students' understanding and provide timely feedback to students and parents on their progress and areas for improvement.
  • Provide additional support and assistance to students who require differentiation to meet the diverse needs of students, including those with learning disabilities or English language learners.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and support staff to share ideas, resources, and strategies for improving student learning outcomes.
  • Participate in team meetings, grade-level planning, and school-wide initiatives to support the school community.

Skills & Experience:

  • Have unrestricted working rights in Australia.
  • Minimum 4 year Bachelor's Degree with at least 1 year teaching qualification.
  • Current VIT registration.
  • Ability to provide contact details for at least two education-based references from within the last 5 years (student-teacher mentors are acceptable).
