Aurizon is looking for motivated and safety-conscious individuals to join our infrastructure maintenance team in Whyalla as a Track Maintainer. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and reliability of rail infrastructure across the region.

No prior rail experience? No problem Ongoing training and development will be provided, but experience in rail, construction, or manual labour environments would be highly regarded.

Enjoy working 5 days per week Monday to Friday with the occasional call outs and working overtime hours. Daily duties will include the use of manual hand tools and some use of heavy vehicle equipment. Ongoing training and development will be provided to the successful candidate.

  • Hold a current White Card/Construction card (mandatory)
  • Safety-conscious with a strong commitment to following workplace procedures
  • Hardworking, motivated, and reliable
  • A team player who can also work independently when required
  • Willing to undertake necessary training for the role
  • Basic computer proficiency
  • Comfortable performing manual labour and working in outdoor environments
  • Ability to pass a Category 1 Rail Medical and Driver History Check (mandatory)

Desirable but not essential:

  • Certificate II or III in Rail Infrastructure
  • Machine operation tickets, loader, skid steer, excavator
  • Experience Aluminothermic welding / offsiding
  • Experience in Safe Working and Track Protection
  • HR or HC Truck Licence (no restrictions)

Successful applicants will be required to undertake and pass a health assessment as well a driver history check as part of the Aurizon recruitment process.

About the role:
