Instrumental Music School Services (IMSS) provides quality teaching, diverse, stimulating performance and enrichment opportunities, supporting every instrumental music student to realise their full potential.

IMSS collaborates with nearly 500 public schools delivering its program through 330 teaching staff to over 20,000 students across Western Australia to enhance musical education through practical music-making. The Role

The Business Support Officer provides support to the Manager Corporate Services in delivering human resource management, recruitment, asset management and administrative services for the school. This includes a strong focus on workforce management, particularly the processing of staff on alternating roster schedules, as well as the accurate and timely payment of accounts in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.

Flexibility will be highly regarded as it is a key aspect of this role. The successful applicant will ideally be adaptable to changing priorities and able to support a variety of operational needs across the Corporate Services area. They should actively contribute as a team player, providing guidance and support to members of the Allied Professional team.

The ability to work under pressure in an evolving environment, maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail while effectively prioritising and meeting deadlines are all highly desirable traits. The position works closely with the Manager Corporate Services, both independently and as part of a cohesive Corporate Services team. Strong interpersonal skills are highly desirable, as the role involves assisting a wide range of stakeholders. A capacity to interact with empathy while developing and maintaining positive and professional relationships within our school community is highly valued.
