What you'll doThe Public Sector Market Development Representative (MDR) will generate new business by focusing on government agencies and public sector organizations.
You will use outbound calls and targeted emails to connect with potential clients, qualifying prospective customers through questions about their unique challenges and missions. This information will then be used to align and sell solutions that improve and modernize government processes.
This role spends about 80% of the time on the phone, prospecting new public sector clients. As an MDR, you will get hands-on training with an emphasis on strategic selling and researching targeted accounts, gaining valuable experience in a rapidly growing SaaS company.
This is an individual contributor role reporting to the Manager, MDR.
Responsibility
- Make outbound calls to public sector prospects, offering tailored solutions to solve and improve their specific business process problems.
- Schedule appointments between prospects and our Account Executives, supporting agencies across federal, state, and local levels.
- Use a CRM strategically to record information and identify further opportunities in your assigned territory.
- Work closely with marketing to create email and LinkedIn campaigns that increase brand awareness within the public sector.
Hybrid: Employee divides their time between in-office and remote work. Access to an office location is required. (Frequency: Minimum 2 days per week; may vary by team but will be weekly in-office expectation)

What you bringBasic
- BA/BS degree or equivalent sales related experience
- 1+ year of experience in a client or customer facing role
Preferred
- Prior experience in the SaaS industry
- Driven, enthusiastic and hard-working nature
