Job Description

Manager - Experience Engineering leads and mentors teams within and across projects, architects front-end applications, and provides guidance on Experience technologies and delivery best practices. The person also manages clients and represents Sapient's expertise and thought leadership in Experience technologies and applications.

Your Impact

Understand clients' business problems and engage in client servicing to manage peer-level client relationships.
Develop an accurate and realistic design plan along with risk mitigation solutions for the project.
Liaise with Information Architects, Designers & Business Analysts to finalize usability and feasibility of interface designs.
Effectively communicate responsibilities to the track leads and mentor a collaborative team to deliver client expectations.

Your Skills & Experience

10+ years of experience with a Bachelor in Computer Science or equivalent education covering Math, Algorithms, Data Structures, Networking.
Understand end-to-end architecture across Front-end BFF and Back-end.
Awareness of architecture patterns such as SPA/MPA, Microservices, Module federation, and proficiency in rendering techniques like SSR/CSR/SSG.
Experience with setting up Design Systems, Atomic design concepts, Storybook implementation, and understanding of Design Tokens.
Knowledge of caching strategies at Front-end and BFF layers.
Ability to set up quality gates and CI/CD pipelines for Front-end and BFF layers.
Experience in creating sprint-level plans and providing estimates at Story, Feature, and EPIC levels.
Comfortable with TDD/BDD.
Excellent knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/OOJS.
Experience with Front End Architecture (Monolithic, Micro-Frontend).
Hands-on experience with Object-Oriented JavaScript, JavaScript libraries, and building complex interactive experiences.
Knowledge of functional programming concepts in JavaScript.
Experience building React applications at scale.
Experience with State-management frameworks like Redux (with middlewares – Thunk / Saga).
Hands-on experience with Node.js, setting up front-end build systems, and automation using Webpack.
Experience creating GraphQL APIs at BFF layer, working with API documentation tools like Swagger, OpenAPI, Postman.
Experience with domain-driven design, microservices/BFF with NodeJS/TypeScript/GraphQL.
Working with GraphQL servers using NodeJS, Express, TypeScript.
Knowledge of JavaScript design patterns.
Experience with TDD in JS using frameworks like Jest, React Testing Library, Jasmine, Mocha, Karma.
Experience with performance, security, and accessibility tools.
Building responsive websites using CSS, LESS, Style components, Tailwind, Bootstrap.
Understanding of SEO and accessibility standards, using ARIA.
Experience with client-side templating languages like Handlebars, Mustache.
Familiarity with frameworks like AngularJS, Backbone.js, or similar.
Experience with large websites, content management systems, e-commerce platforms, and backend frameworks (Java, .NET) is a plus.
