What we're looking for

We're looking for a Frontend-leaning Full Stack Engineer who's ready to help us deliver seamless, mobile-first experiences to millions of users and solve complex product, architecture, and scaling challenges along the way, such as real-time data synchronisation across diverse sporting events and evolving large-scale user management systems.

What You'll Do Day-to-Day

• Build and own web and mobile features using React, React Native, and TypeScript
• Implement state management and client-side GraphQL
• Implement test automation for the features you built
• Jump into backend services (Golang, AWS) when needed
• Contribute to our design system, code quality standards, and testing practices
• Participate in agile squads with product, design, backend
• Ship to production quickly and safely using modern DevOps workflows
• Work on real-world problems: real-time fixtures, complex sport workflows, and user experience at national scale, ensuring our platform performs seamlessly for millions.

What You Need to Thrive in this role

• 3–5 years of frontend experience with React and TypeScript, including some full-stack exposure
• Experience working within startup and/or scaleup environments, ideally with complex products
• Deep knowledge of mobile-first development, responsive design, and accessibility best practices
• Strong frontend testing experience: unit (Jest, Vitest), component (React Testing Library), and end-to-end
• Experience with frontend performance optimisation: code splitting, bundle analysis, lazy loading
• Ability to write clean, testable, maintainable code aligned with architectural best practices
• Stay current with emerging technologies, including AI-assisted development tools
• Embrace continuous improvement, balancing pragmatism with long-term technical quality
• A growth mindset - you ask questions, seek feedback, and want to improve
• A strong sense of ownership from scoping to delivery, you take accountability
• The ability to work well in fast-paced environments, navigating changing priorities
• A bias for collaboration with product managers, designers, engineers, and QA, because we believe the best solutions are built together
• A genuine interest in building something that directly serves communities

It's a Bonus if you have:

• React Native experience or a strong willingness to learn it quickly
• Hands-on experience with state management libraries (Zustand, Redux, Apollo) and GraphQL
• Experience building performant UIs using Tailwind, Styled Components, or Emotion
• Working knowledge of cloud-native services (AWS) and backend contribution (Golang/TypeScript)
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps tooling, and modern deployment workflows
• Experience in a sporting organisation or sports tech environment
