Pinpoint Talent's NSW State Government Client is seeking an experienced Senior Network Administrator to provide high-level support for the management and ongoing maintenance of the client's ICT infrastructure. This role is integral to ensuring system availability, network security, and responsive support services.

Sydney location

6 month contract - potential further extension

Hybrid working arrangement

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day support and maintenance of ICT infrastructure including core and workgroup switches, VOIP systems, wireless networks, digital storage, Internet/WAN links, and network monitoring applications.
  • Monitor network performance and resolve infrastructure-related incidents and problems to ensure optimal operation.
  • Participate in infrastructure upgrade and installation projects, including cabling, and refurbishment work.
  • Maintain the security and compliance of ICT infrastructure and externally hosted services, ensuring patching and updates align with cyber security standards.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a senior network support or network administration role, preferably within a Local/State Government environment.
  • Proven technical expertise across enterprise networking, wireless infrastructure, firewalls, and VOIP systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive and client-focused approach.
  • Sound understanding of cyber security principles and compliance standards.
