As the Head of Credit, you will manage and drive performance across the retail, wholesale, and commercial credit portfolios. This pivotal leadership role will have you collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet the company's credit risk and performance standards consistently.
In the role, you will :
Lead day-to-day operations of Retail Credit & Settlements and Commercial Credit & Wholesale teams across Australia and New Zealand.
Own and manage credit risk, ensuring alignment with the organisation's credit risk appetite.
Lead the development and continuous improvement of credit policies, systems, and processes.
Analyse portfolio performance, conduct credit loss reviews and present insights to executive management and the Board of Directors.
Actively participate in complex lending proposals and make credit decisions within your authority.
Foster strong relationships with internal stakeholders, dealer networks and broker partners.
Develop and mentor high-performing teams through development planning, coaching, and leadership.
Ensure full compliance with all regulatory obligations (NCCP, AML / CTF, Privacy, Corporations Act, etc.)
Champion process optimisation and lead key projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
Partner with internal stakeholders, dealers, brokers, and sales divisions to drive collaboration and performance.
Contribute to strategic planning, budgeting, and quarterly Credit Committee meetings.
About you :
Extensive experience in managing day-to-day credit operations in a financial services organisation.
Extensive knowledge and experience in financial services compliance and regulatory matters.
Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage change, and deliver business improvement initiatives.
Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
A passion for developing talent and fostering a high-performance culture.
Degree qualified in banking, finance, commerce, or business.
