About the Role

Mobilize is partnering with an industry-leading and innovative manufacturing client to recruit a skilled and motivated Accountant. In this vital role, you will be responsible for managing the full spectrum of financial accounting and reporting, supported by an in-house Bookkeeper. This position plays a key part in supporting the organisation's financial performance and strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will have the ambition and capability to evolve into a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) role as the business continues to grow.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Manage general ledger functions and balance sheet reconciliations
• Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and accounting standards
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Support internal and external audit processes
• Maintain accurate and timely financial records
• Collaborate with internal teams to enhance financial systems and reporting processes
• Participate in special projects and ad-hoc financial tasks

About You

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA qualified
• Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar accounting role, ideally within the manufacturing sector
• Demonstrated experience in cost accounting
• Proficient in MYOB, Excel, and other financial tools
• Self-motivated, organised, and able to work both independently and as part of a team
• Strong analytical and communication skills
