The roleAs our new Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for all contract management within the Motor Supply team, focusing on developing systems and controls around contract management.
Key Responsibilities- Support the creation and execution of operational plans supporting C&A divisional strategic objectives.
- Take ownership of Motor Supplier Contracts processes, including negotiations, drafting, administration, performance monitoring, and dispute resolution, emphasizing timeliness and relationship management.
- Communicate and manage objectives to meet supplier sourcing and regulatory requirements.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure contract negotiations meet their needs.
- Participate in sourcing exercises and negotiations to achieve optimal commercial outcomes and monitor existing arrangements for value addition.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance customer experience, reduce risks, and improve contract management frameworks.
- Conduct prequalification searches and due diligence referrals to the Investigations team.
- Liaise with contractors to resolve contractual compliance, operational, and reporting issues, including documentation collation.
- Draft contractual breach notices and follow up on corrective actions.
- Drive best-in-class contract management with a focus on strategic, sustainable contracts.
- Provide guidance and training on contract management best practices as the SME for supply contractor matters.
- 3-5 years of experience managing contracts or relevant industry experience.
- Expertise in contract management, procurement, and compliance.
- Experience with contract management systems and intermediate Excel skills.
- Excellent communication skills, especially in drafting high-quality contract correspondence.
- Experience in building contract management frameworks.
- Proven success in operational efficiency and process improvement initiatives.
- Attention to detail, analytical skills, and strong stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills.
