The role

As our new Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for all contract management within the Motor Supply team, focusing on developing systems and controls around contract management.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Support the creation and execution of operational plans supporting C&A divisional strategic objectives.
  2. Take ownership of Motor Supplier Contracts processes, including negotiations, drafting, administration, performance monitoring, and dispute resolution, emphasizing timeliness and relationship management.
  3. Communicate and manage objectives to meet supplier sourcing and regulatory requirements.
  4. Build strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure contract negotiations meet their needs.
  5. Participate in sourcing exercises and negotiations to achieve optimal commercial outcomes and monitor existing arrangements for value addition.
  6. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance customer experience, reduce risks, and improve contract management frameworks.
  7. Conduct prequalification searches and due diligence referrals to the Investigations team.
  8. Liaise with contractors to resolve contractual compliance, operational, and reporting issues, including documentation collation.
  9. Draft contractual breach notices and follow up on corrective actions.
  10. Drive best-in-class contract management with a focus on strategic, sustainable contracts.
  11. Provide guidance and training on contract management best practices as the SME for supply contractor matters.
Experience Required
  1. 3-5 years of experience managing contracts or relevant industry experience.
  2. Expertise in contract management, procurement, and compliance.
  3. Experience with contract management systems and intermediate Excel skills.
  4. Excellent communication skills, especially in drafting high-quality contract correspondence.
  5. Experience in building contract management frameworks.
  6. Proven success in operational efficiency and process improvement initiatives.
  7. Attention to detail, analytical skills, and strong stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills.
