Position Overview

We are seeking a Lead Carpenter to oversee and complete residential construction projects. This role requires hands-on carpentry skills, leadership ability, and a commitment to quality. The ideal candidate has experience in outdoor construction, can work independently or with a crew, and ensures projects are completed on time and up to code.

Responsibilities
  • Build and install decks, screened porches, covered patios, and other outdoor structures
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications
  • Manage and oversee job sites, ensuring safety and quality standards are met
  • Lead and direct laborers or helpers as needed
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas
  • Communicate effectively with clients and team members
  • Ensure projects meet deadlines and company standards
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of carpentry experience (outdoor construction experience strongly preferred)
  • Ability to operate tools and equipment safely and effectively
  • Strong problem-solving and attention-to-detail skills
  • Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work outdoors in various conditions
  • Competitive hourly pay ($20–$35/hr depending on experience)

Job Types: Full-time
