The Role

We're seeking a data-driven and detail-oriented Surveillance Analyst – Data Analytics and Reporting to join our Surveillance team at Crown Melbourne. Reporting to the Intelligence Analysis & Reporting Manager, this role plays a key part in enhancing Crown's surveillance capabilities through advanced data analytics, reporting and intelligence insights.

You'll work closely with Surveillance and Technology/Data teams to design and implement robust analytics processes, support investigations and contribute to compliance reporting. This is a unique opportunity to apply your analytical expertise in a dynamic, high-stakes environment.

Some responsibilities of the role will include, but are not limited to:

  • Execute data analytics and visualisation activities to support Surveillance operations
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting tools
  • Provide insights and recommendations on gaming patterns, investigations and workflow efficiencies
  • Support Section 25 compliance reporting and other regulatory requirements
  • Prepare analytical reports and communicate findings to internal stakeholders
  • Coach team members and contribute to a culture of continuous learning
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, policies, and procedures

About You

You're a curious and analytical thinker with a passion for uncovering insights through data. You thrive in collaborative environments and are committed to maintaining the highest standards of integrity and compliance.

To be successful, you will have:

  • Experience using data analytics and visualisation tools (e.g. SQL, Splunk, Python, R, Tableau, PowerBI)
  • Strong communication and report writing skills
  • Knowledge of the regulatory environment within the gaming industry
  • Experience in a casino surveillance environment (preferred)
  • A qualification in Data Science, IT Business Management or a related field highly desired
  • Ability to obtain and maintain required Casino Special Employee Licences across jurisdictions
