The Opportunity

Assist allocated team with general labouring, preparation, and cleaning tasks within a shipyard environment as directed by immediate Supervisor/Coordinator.

What's involved

  • Participate in Confined Space Entry, Sentry, and Fire Sentry duties.
  • Assist tradespeople when required.
  • Assist in all aspects of the docking evolution.
  • Understand, embrace, implement, and comply with all Austal Policies and Procedures related to HSEQ.
  • Hold self and workmates accountable to HSEQ standards.
  • Holding self and others accountable to the quality standards.
  • Reduce waste in all its forms.

You'll need

  • Ability to work autonomously or as part of as team.
  • Capable of performing work in a safe and acceptable manner.
  • Ability to use standard hand tools.
  • Hold good time management skills and ability to meet targets set by the supervisor.
  • EWP + 11m.
  • Working at Heights & Confined Space.
  • Work in accordance with an issued permit.
  • Demonstrate First Attack Fire Fighting Equipment.
  • 1 year experience in general labouring.
  • 1 year experience in Confined Space Entry Sentry and Fire Sentry.
