Job Description

Position Overview:

You'll take charge of organising and overseeing maintenance and repairs for our heavy equipment fleet, while still getting stuck into the day-to-day work. It's a hands-on role that combines leadership, technical know-how, and a strong focus on safety.

  • FIFO from Perth – 8:6 roster.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and direction to a team of maintenance technicians and mechanics, ensuring the workshop operates safely, efficiently, and effectively.
  • Plan and implement maintenance schedules, manage repair priorities, and coordinate equipment availability to support operational requirements.
  • Uphold safety and quality standards by ensuring all maintenance and repair activities are performed to regulatory and company expectations.
  • Oversee spare parts inventory, including procurement and restocking, to reduce equipment downtime and maintain workflow continuity.
  • Promote and enforce a strong safety culture, ensuring all team members adhere to established protocols and procedures.
  • Generate and present regular reports detailing maintenance activities, equipment condition, and overall workshop performance.
  • Mentor and develop team members, identifying training needs and supporting continuous professional growth and capability development.

Requirements:

  • Current & Valid Driver's Licence (HR Preferred)
  • National Police Clearance (within 12 months – validity site dependant)
  • Trade qualification in a relevant field (e.g., Diesel Mechanic, Heavy Equipment Technician).
  • Proven experience as a Workshop Supervisor in the mining or heavy equipment industry.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Commitment to safety and adherence to industry regulations.
  • Effective communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Fulltime, Permanent Opportunity (Annual Leave & Personal Leave eligible)
