Employment: Permanent Role

Experience: 5+ years

Location: Sydney, Brisbane Australia - Hybrid

Eligibility: Candidates must have the right to work in Australia (Citizen, PR, Valid Visa holders).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive secure development practices across teams by embedding security controls within the CI/CD pipelines.
  • Conduct application threat modeling, code reviews, and security assessments to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities.
  • Deploy and manage application security tools (e.g., SAST, DAST, SCA) and integrate them into DevOps workflows.
  • Provide strategic consultation to development and product teams on application security risks and remediation.
  • Write scripts and tools to automate security tasks, improve scanning workflows, and support continuous monitoring.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 5 years of experience in Application Security or related security engineering roles.
  • Strong understanding of secure coding, OWASP Top 10, SDLC, and DevSecOps principles.
  • Hands-on experience integrating AppSec tools such as Veracode, Checkmarx, Fortify, SonarQube, Burp Suite, etc.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell) for automation and tool integration.
  • Experience working with CI/CD platforms like Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, Bitbucket Pipelines, etc.
