Application Security Engineer

Key Responsibilities: Drive secure development practices across teams by embedding security controls within the CI/CD pipelines.
Conduct application threat modeling, code reviews, and security assessments to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities.
Deploy and manage application security tools (e.g., SAST, DAST, SCA) and integrate them into Dev Ops workflows.
Provide strategic consultation to development and product teams on application security risks and remediation.
Write scripts and tools to automate security tasks, improve scanning workflows, and support continuous monitoring.
Required Skills & Experience5 years of experience in Application Security or related security engineering roles.
Strong understanding of secure coding, OWASP Top 10, SDLC, and Dev Sec Ops principles.
Hands-on experience integrating App Sec tools such as Veracode, Checkmarx, Fortify, Sonar Qube, Burp Suite, etc.
Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, Power Shell) for automation and tool integration.
Experience working with CI/CD platforms like Jenkins, Git Lab CI, Azure Dev Ops, Bitbucket Pipelines, etc.
