Hays Recruitment has partnered with a well-known, highly reputable accounting firm who provide a comprehensive range of Business Advisory and Tax services to individuals, small businesses, and corporate clients. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a collaborative team that values professional development, flexibility, and client service excellence. This role is open to candidates based in either Mansfield or Alexandra.
Your new role
Depending on skill and/or experience, you will play a key role in delivering a range of high-quality advisory and compliance services to a diverse client base.
Key responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

Processing accounting data using Xero, MYOB, and QuickBooksSetting up accounting software for small businessesPreparing or supporting the senior team with BAS, IAS, FBTAssisting and/or leading the preparation of financial statements and income tax returnsProviding strategic tax advice and planning to new and existing client baseResearching and interpreting tax legislation and compliance requirementsCollaborating with clients and other professionals to deliver integrated solutionsIdentifying opportunities to streamline workflows and improve client outcomesMentoring junior staff and contributing to team developmentWhat you'll need to succeed

This position is open to candidates with a range of experience levels who are passionate about helping clients and desire to further their careers in tax accounting. Ideally, you will have:A Tertiary Qualification in Accounting, FinanceStrong technical knowledge of Australian tax law with a minimum of 2 years+ experience working in public practiceProficiency in MYOB, Xero, and Microsoft OfficeFamiliarity with accounting software Sage HandiSoft, Access HandiSoft, and Class Super (desirable but not essential)Excellent communication and client relationship skillsAbility to manage competing priorities and meet deadlinesA passion for helping clients and working collaborativelyWhat you'll get in returnCompetitive salary package dependent on experienceOngoing training and professional developmentCareer progression opportunitiesA friendly and supportive team cultureThe chance to work in beautiful regional Victoria with a strong community focusWhat you need to do now
