The Role

Belmont CC is seeking a highly professional, passionate, and innovative Teacher of Visual Arts. The successful applicant should understand the Years 7 to 10 WA Curriculum – Visual Arts and the WA Certificate of Education (WACE) Visual Arts and Design courses, and should be able to develop and deliver programs in these areas. Experience in industry and/or delivering Vocational Education and Training (VET) programs, including Certificate III in Visual Arts, and holding a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment would be desirable but not essential.


The successful applicant should be able to teach across Arts learning areas, including Visual Arts, Design Graphics and Photography. They should be proficient in using Adobe Creative Cloud and be able to integrate technology into curriculum delivery to develop 21st-century skills. It would be valued if you contribute to school-wide events that celebrate creativity and be student- and relationship-focused, enthusiastic, and innovative with the ability to provide engaging, relevant, and meaningful experiences while catering for diverse student learning needs.

Eligibility
  • Hold an eligible teacher qualification and registration
  • Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident, or have a valid visa with work rights for the term of the appointment
  • Apply for a WA Working with Children Check before you start
  • Consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education's Screening Unit before you start
