The RoleEastern Goldfields College is seeking a motivated leader to join the college's Leadership Team as the Follow the Dream Coordinator. The successful applicant will provide strategic leadership and contribute to a positive school culture. The role involves coordinating all aspects of the Follow the Dream program and integrating it into daily college operations. The appointee will promote educational leadership that builds capacity within the school and community by implementing and promoting the Follow the Dream program, and will support students, staff, volunteers, and community members in sharing ownership of its vision and goals.
Key focus areas include collaborating with school leaders and teaching staff to develop targeted programs and whole-school approaches aimed at improving student achievement, aligned with the Aboriginal Cultural Standards Framework. The role includes managing program operations, overseeing financial resources, monitoring implementation, and developing improvement strategies based on data and context, while fostering strong relationships with Aboriginal families, communities, and industry groups to support students' academic and career pathways.
Responsibilities- Provide strategic leadership and foster a positive school culture in support of the Follow the Dream program.
- Coordinate all aspects of the Follow the Dream program and integrate it into daily college operations.
- Promote capacity building within the school and community through educational leadership and program promotion.
- Support students, staff, volunteers, and community members in sharing ownership of the program's vision and goals.
- Collaborate with school leaders and teachers to implement targeted programs and whole-school approaches to improve student achievement, in line with the Aboriginal Cultural Standards Framework.
- Apply effective change strategies to facilitate opportunities that enhance educational outcomes.
- Manage program operations, including oversight of financial resources and monitoring of implementation.
- Develop improvement strategies based on data and contextual information.
- Foster relationships with Aboriginal families, communities, and industry groups to ensure effective program delivery and support for student pathways.
- Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident, or hold a valid visa with work rights for the term of the appointment.
- Hold registration with the Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia.
- Obtain a valid Working With Children Check before you start.
- Consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education's Screening Unit before you start.

- Experience in developing, implementing and evaluating learning programs and strategies at school, regional, or system levels.
- Ability to manage physical and financial resources.
- Ability to provide strategic leadership that builds capacity, manages change, and fosters innovative solutions to achieve educational outcomes.
- Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills and ability to conduct research, prepare reports, and establish effective partnerships with stakeholders.
