Our client is looking for an experienced Cloud DevOps Engineer to join a cross-functional product team focused on modernising infrastructure, improving CI/CD pipelines, and driving automation across cloud-native environments.

This is a daily rate contract role with flexibility around cloud platform experience (Azure, AWS, or GCP). You'll be supporting delivery squads to build and manage scalable, secure, and repeatable cloud infrastructure — with a strong focus on automation, observability, and release reliability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, and manage infrastructure using Terraform or similar IaC tools
  • Build, optimise, and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines (e.g. Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Cloud Build)
  • Support containerised deployments using Kubernetes, Docker, or managed cloud services (e.g. AKS, GKE, EKS)
  • Implement cloud-native monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions
  • Drive security and governance alignment across DevOps workflows
  • Collaborate with developers, architects, and QA to support rapid, reliable delivery

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Site Reliability roles
  • Hands-on experience with Terraform, CI/CD tooling, and at least one major cloud platform (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
  • Solid scripting skills (e.g. Bash, Python, or PowerShell)
  • Familiarity with cloud identity, networking, and cost optimisation best practices
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in delivery teams
  • Bonus: Experience with Kubernetes, Helm, Cloud Security, or multi-cloud environments

Nice to Have

  • Cloud certifications (e.g. AZ-400, AWS DevOps Pro, Google PCA)
  • Exposure to incident response, DR design, or performance tuning
  • Experience in agile delivery environments with microservices or event-driven architectures

Start Date: Immediate

Contract Length: 3–6 months (extension likely based on delivery)

Location: Sydney-based project — hybrid/remote flexibility available
