About The Role
Applications are currently invited for the casual position of Head Cricket Coach within our highly regarded Sport Department.
Our APS Cricket Program aims to develop a student's love of cricket in an environment which supports the philosophy and pastoral values of the School. The primary focus of the Head Cricket Coach is to support the Director of Coaching with the implementation and evaluation of our Cricket program across all year levels. The Head Cricket Coach is therefore responsible for developing a program that encourages skill development and high quality training for all students participating in the program. In addition to this, the Head Cricket Coach will lead the training and development of the First XI Cricket squad and match day leadership for those selected in the First XI Cricket team.
In order to be considered for this opportunity, the successful applicant will require:
- Experience building and implementing a cricket program across a range of year levels and experience.
- An understanding of the skills and tactics required to coach students in Cricket.
- The ability to make sound judgements, coordinate a range of drills/programs and meet deadlines without supervision.
- The ability to work autonomously with high levels of motivation, yet also able to work effectively as part of a team.
- Well-developed oral and written communications skills.
- Work with enthusiastic Secondary School aged children to instil a love of the sport.
- Shifts offered all season to fit within your schedule - multiple shifts available per week.
- Work alongside passionate and skilled coaches.
- Penalty rates paid for weekend work.
