Guided Weapons & Explosive Ordnance (GWEO) – Maritime and Maintenance

Responsibilities
  • Provide expert support to a range of programs, ensuring compliance with trade control obligations.
  • Analyse and interpret legislation and policy across regimes such as the International Traffic in Arms Regulations, Arms Export Control Act, Defence Trade Controls Act, and European legislation.
  • Engage professionally with internal and external stakeholders, managing sensitive information with discretion.
  • Balance competing priorities while communicating clearly and confidently.
Qualifications
  • Experience providing support services to programs.
  • Strong skills in legislative and policy analysis.
  • Understanding of trade control and export control frameworks.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.

You'll be part of a collaborative, fast-paced team supporting critical defence programs, with opportunities to develop your expertise in export controls and program support.

Due to the nature of the role, applicants must hold or be eligible for a Australian Defence security clearance.
