Position: Store Person

Location: High Wycombe, Perth

Roster: Monday to Friday + Optional Saturdays

Employment type: Full-time

About the Role:

As a Store Person at SMS Mining, you will play a key role in supporting the smooth operation of our workshop. You will be responsible for the accurate receipting, handling, and dispatch of goods, as well as maintaining stock integrity and ensuring all documentation is completed to company standards. This is a hands-on position that requires strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and a commitment to safety.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Receive, maintain, and dispatch goods in line with workshop requirements
  • Accurately pick and pack kits for workshop and site operations
  • Monitor and update stock levels in the system to ensure accurate records
  • Maintain housekeeping standards across the parts department
  • Coordinate the return of stock to suppliers for repairs or replacements
  • Prepare stock requirements in a timely and efficient manner
  • Accurately complete all paperwork, including delivery notes and purchase requisition forms
  • Participate in regular stocktakes and cycle counts
  • Provide general assistance and support to the workshop team as required
What We're Looking For:
  • Proven experience in a stores or warehousing role, ideally within the mining or heavy industry sector
  • Strong commitment to safety in all aspects of work
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to liaise confidently with suppliers, clients, and colleagues
  • Valid Manual C Class Driver's Licence
  • High Risk LF Forklift Licence (desirable)
  • Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment medical
