Overview

Volunteer Support Officer at Victoria State Emergency Service (VICSES).

Fixed Term - Full Time - until 30 June 2026. Salary: $79,122 to $87, % Super. Out of hours work including weekends and travel may be required to support volunteer units during scheduled training, unit meetings and other unit or regional activities.

Responsibilities
  • Provide specialised and dynamic support of VICSES volunteer units and their management teams.
  • Coordinate administration, compliance, grant applications and logistics to maintain unit operational readiness.
  • Assist with functions including administration, compliance, grant applications and logistics as part of the Unit Support Team.
Role details

The Victoria State Emergency Service (VICSES) plays a major role in Victoria's emergency response activities during emergencies for which it is responsible including Flood, Storm, Earthquake, Tsunami, Landslide, and supporting other agencies and departments as required under section 6A of the VICSES Act. Employees may be directly employed for these roles or may be called upon to support emergency response activities after appropriate training and suitability assessment.

Who We Are

Victoria State Emergency Service (VICSES) is a volunteer-based emergency service. Our volunteers are trained in a wide range of emergency environments. VICSES focuses on working with communities and partners to build resilience and help communities understand risk and take action before, during and after emergencies. We support road rescue networks, search and rescue operations, and collaboration with partner agencies during major incidents.
