About the role

Join the team at Grubers Beckett Chartered Accountants in Cairns, Queensland as a full-time Junior Accountant. This role is crucial in supporting the smooth operation of our thriving accounting practice.

What you'll be doing:
  • Provide administrative support including answering phones, greeting clients, and managing general office duties
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll processing
  • Assist with the preparation of financial reports, income tax returns and business activity statements
  • Contribute to the implementation of office procedures and systems to improve efficiency
  • Collaborate with the accounting team to deliver exceptional client service
What we're looking for:
  • Some proficiency in accounting software, such as MYOB or Xero is desirable
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and colleagues
  • Proven organisational skills and attention to detail
  • A collaborative approach and a desire to contribute to a dynamic team
  • Relevant qualifications in Accounting or Business Administration
  • You must be able to work in Cairns in an in-person role
