Charters Towers State High School is looking for a friendly, energetic, and experienced Canteen Assistant to help keep our school canteen running like clockwork. You'll play a key part in delivering a much-loved service to our students in a fun, fast-paced environment.

This position is being offered in a Temporary Part-Time capacity (0.79FTE), 60 hours per fortnight from 7:00am to 2:30pm. This includes one hour of Accumulated Days Off per day to support continued salary payments during school holidays.

Step Into Your Next Chapter

  • Plan the daily operation of the school canteen and the preparation of food and counter services.
  • Identify stock requirements and place orders with appropriate vendors on a regular basis
  • Participate in regular stocktake, recording and reporting processes
  • Maintain accurate and appropriate records for the canteen and associated catering operations including filing ofordering, receipt and associated documentation
  • Liaise with suppliers to maximise earning potential for the school.
