To continue our success, we currently have an exciting opportunity for a Lab Technician to join our Quaker Oats team.

This role involves analyzing oat production samples against product specifications, releasing compliant products to market, and supporting the quality team.

Details:
  • Location: Forrestfield (WA)
  • On-the-job training for the first 2-4 weeks
  • Training: Day Shift (Monday to Friday, 6am to 2pm)
  • Rotating roster after training: Week 1: 2pm - 10pm / Week 2: 10pm – 6am
  • Monday to Friday
  • Position: Permanent Full Time

Responsibilities:
  • Collect samples for sensory evaluation, compliance testing, and analysis
  • Act on out-of-specification results for non-compliant products as per procedure
  • Check calibrations and maintenance of analytical equipment in-line, laboratory, and production areas
  • Perform quality audits and safety inspections to ensure adherence to FSSC and AIBI standards
  • Engage with internal stakeholders to troubleshoot and prevent non-compliance; manage laboratory waste and systems
  • Comply with all PepsiCo policies to ensure high-quality food production
Qualifications:
  • Qualifications in Food Science and Technology and/or Certificate in Laboratory Techniques preferred but not essential
  • Experience in food manufacturing or laboratory environment (grain industry) desirable but not essential
  • Strong communication, attention to detail, and time management skills
  • Advanced computer skills, especially in Microsoft Excel
