To continue our success, we currently have an exciting opportunity for a Lab Technician to join our Quaker Oats team.
This role involves analyzing oat production samples against product specifications, releasing compliant products to market, and supporting the quality team.
Details: Location: Forrestfield (WA)On-the-job training for the first 2-4 weeks Training: Day Shift (Monday to Friday, 6am to 2pm)Rotating roster after training: Week 1: 2pm - 10pm / Week 2: 10pm – 6am Monday to Friday Position: Permanent Full Time Benefits: Competitive package including: Discounts on Scoopon, Luxury Escapes, Asahi Beverages portfolio Generous leave options (wellness, birthday, volunteer, parental leave for primary & secondary carers, additional leave purchase/cash out)Health & Wellness programs: Discounted private health insurance Financial coaching Counselling sessions Skin checks Additional offerings include: Professional development programs Global career opportunities Responsibilities: Collect samples for sensory evaluation, compliance testing, and analysis Act on out-of-specification results for non-compliant products as per procedure Check calibrations and maintenance of analytical equipment in-line, laboratory, and production areas Perform quality audits and safety inspections to ensure adherence to FSSC and AIBI standards Engage with internal stakeholders to troubleshoot and prevent non-compliance; manage laboratory waste and systems Comply with all Pepsi Co policies to ensure high-quality food production Qualifications: Qualifications in Food Science and Technology and/or Certificate in Laboratory Techniques preferred but not essential Experience in food manufacturing or laboratory environment (grain industry) desirable but not essential Strong communication, attention to detail, and time management skills Advanced computer skills, especially in Microsoft Excel About us: Join iconic brands like Doritos, Gatorade, Pepsi Max, Smith's Chips, Red Rock Deli, Twisties, Quaker Oats, and Bluebird NZ.
