We have an exciting 12 month opportunity in the Capability Design and Delivery section. The section plays a pivotal role in driving technological advancement across the department. It is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of new ICT initiatives, fostering innovation, and executing major enhancement projects that align with strategic business objectives.

What you'll do:
  • Assist in the management of relevant teams, that may include APS and contractors, ensuring the planning, monitoring and delivery of the team and sections work program.
  • Guide, support, develop and mentor staff.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement aligned with the APS values.
  • Support the coordination projects to be delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Complete Requests for Digital Investment (RDIs) to define project scope, budget and priorities.
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to build partnerships, manage expectations, and negotiate solutions.
  • Monitor and report on project performance, risks, and benefits realisation to senior leadership.
  • Coordinate the use of specialist resources on projects including internal and external contractors, consultants and other ICT teams.
  • Ensure project alignment with agency strategic objectives and government priorities.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant governance frameworks, procurement policies, and legislative requirements.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities in delivery practices and processes.
