About the role

Mater Private Hospital Rockhampton are seeking Hospitality Services Assistants with multiple positions available, to join the team on a casual basis with the potential to progress to a permanent part-time position.

In this role, you will contribute to the delivery of effective cleaning and hygiene services to delegated areas of the Hospital as well as preparing, assembling, and delivering patient meals across a variety of shifts.

Mater Private Hospital Rockhampton has been supporting the health of people living in Central Queensland for more than a century. Our heritage listed Kenmore building was purchased by the Sisters of Mercy in 1915 and opened as the first Mater Misericordiae Hospital north of Brisbane on 14 November in the same year.

For this position we offer the opportunity to expand your skillset by gaining experience in our kitchen and hospitality team, food services, room service and cleaning areas where suitable.

Shifts are available across a 7-day week, with a range of shifts available between 4:30am and 8:30pm.

We are ideally looking for candidates that have:

• A positive attitude and readiness to take on new challenges
• Ability to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
• Ability to recognise and prioritise tasks effectively
• Knowledge of current food hygiene principles and practices
• Ability to engage with a variety of people
• A strong sense of commitment to delivering high-quality service and continuous improvement
