Food and Cleaning Assistant

In this role you will play a vital role in ensuring the comfort and well-being of patients in our hospital. Your responsibilities will include:

• Taking patient meal orders
• Preparing and distributing meals
• Recording patient intake
• Dishwashing
• Restocking linen and stores
• Waste removal
• Maintaining a clean and hygienic environment in accordance with infection control procedures

• Meet essential requirements as outlined in the Position Description
• Candidates must have Australian work rights (citizens, permanent residents, or valid work visa). Permanent roles are open to Australian citizens and permanent residents, while temporary and casual roles welcome applicants with a visa.
• This is a NSW Health Category A position which requires immunisation and Tuberculosis (TB) screening. Refer to the NSW Health OASV Policy for a complete list of required vaccines. During application, please upload the OASV Undertaking/Declaration Form and TB Assessment Tool with any vaccination evidence you have.
• If you are identified as a preferred candidate and are external to HealthShare NSW, you will be required to complete a physical pre-employment health assessment (at no cost to you) to confirm your ability to safely perform the duties of the role.
