Overview

Principal Project Officer, Information & Performance Support – temporary employment (until December 2028) with NSW Health, Regional Health Division within the Ministry of Health. This is a strategic role supporting regional health workforce projects and policy initiatives.

About This Role

Join the Regional Health Division which provides advice to the Minister for Regional Health, Minister for Health and Secretary, NSW Health on regional, rural and remote health matters. The division advocates for regional health issues and identifies opportunities to enhance access to health and other social services that support quality health outcomes. The Principal Project Officer leads and manages a project team to deliver, monitor and evaluate the expansion of the NSW Rural Generalist Single Employer Pathway and other regional health workforce projects. The role provides strategic policy, planning, project and change management, and operational support to facilitate achievement of organisational and government objectives.

Salary: Crown Clerk 11/12, starting from $149,739 - $173,174 plus superannuation and annual leave loading, 35-hour work week.

What You'll Be Doing

The Principal Project Officer oversees all aspects of project development, implementation and delivery of the expansion of the NSW Rural Generalist Single Employer Pathway, identifying interdependencies and leveraging resources to maximise efficiencies and achieve required organisational outcomes. You will also lead and provide support on additional workforce and regional healthcare projects as directed by the Director, Information and Performance Support.
