Recognised for their ability to handle complex and commercial disputes, our Disputes & Investigations group has unrivalled experience in conducting proceedings, negotiations and settlements through court, mediations and arbitrations across a broad range of industries. The group is well-known and respected for their application of sound legal, investigative and evidentiary skills in complex, multi-party litigation and disputes.

This is a great opportunity for a recent graduate or junior lawyer to join our Canberra office, you would be joining a small and experienced local team which is the second largest practise group among a our national firm.

Your will be working with an existing portfolio of a diverse range of clients and matters on a variety of contentious issues including:

  • commercial and contractual disputes
  • insolvency
  • property (real and intellectual), planning and construction disputes

About you

We are looking for a recent graduate or junior lawyer to join our established Disputes & Investigations group in our Canberra office. Your strong work ethic and drive to consistently provide outstanding service in a timely manner will be highly regarded.

In addition, the ideal candidate will possess:

  • a strong interest in commercial litigation
  • well-rounded verbal and written communication skills for both internal team work as well as for work with stakeholders and clients
  • a desire to learn and a commitment to growing your career
  • the ability to operate both autonomously and within a team
  • a strong business and professional ethic, and the drive to succeed
