Overview

St Therese's Primary School, New Lambton, is excited to welcome a Permanent Full-Time Primary Coordinator to our passionate team in 2026. We believe in nurturing the whole child within a rich and inclusive learning experience from Kindergarten to Year 6, celebrating creativity, individuality and the unique talents of every student.

The Primary Coordinator works in collaboration with the school leadership team to promote the school as a place of learning and excellence. They will help shape a collaborative and innovative educational environment, working with staff, families and the wider community to deliver a holistic education that extends beyond the classroom, with a strong focus on enrichment and extension opportunities.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Primary Coordinator collaborates with the school leadership team to promote learning and excellence. Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop, implement and oversee the school's strategic learning initiatives
  • Support the monitoring and review of school improvement initiatives
  • Support the monitoring and review of school compliance
  • Lead, model and support ongoing development, implementation and oversight of quality teaching programs and learning outcomes
  • Model and promote contemporary and innovative pedagogical practices
  • Contribute to a culture of collegiality and reflective practice
  • Support individuals in identifying new learning experiences to support ongoing professional development
  • Know their students and strive to provide engaging learning that supports student wellbeing
EXPERIENCE / CRITERIA
  • Ability to articulate a clear understanding of and a personal commitment to Catholic education and to actively supporting the Catholic ethos and culture of the school
  • Ability to promote and support staff to develop innovative and effective teaching and learning practices across each KLA
  • Demonstrated management and administrative skills to ensure assessment, and teaching and learning programs operate effectively and efficiently
  • Demonstrated capacity to effectively utilise data to optimise organisational and educational outcomes, to think and act strategically, and to support the Leadership Team in leading the mission of the school
  • High level communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to develop and sustain constructive and respectful relationships within and beyond the school community
  • Demonstrated experience in leading successful school initiatives (Desirable)
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Four-year trained teacher classification with at least four years successful teaching experience consistent with the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers
  • NESA Teacher Accreditation
  • Working with Children Clearance number
  • Completion of anaphylaxis training
  • Postgraduate study in education, e.g. Master of Educational Leadership, Theology (Desirable)
  • Working towards Highly Accomplished or Lead Teaching Standards (Desirable)
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

Salary is in accordance with New South Wales & Australian Capital Territory Catholic Systemic Schools Enterprise Agreement 2023.
