About The Role

Based at our InfraBuild Recycling Hemmant site, the Operator/Labourer will be responsible for sorting scrap metal. This is a day shift role working from 6 am to 2 pm, Monday to Friday plus overtime available on weekdays and some weekends. This is a full-time permanent position with on-the-job training provided and excellent opportunities for career progression.

About The Role

Based at our InfraBuild Recycling Hemmant site, the Operator/Labourer will be responsible for sorting scrap metal. Pay rate for this role without forklift ticket is $30.65 per hour plus overtime paid at penalty rates.

Pay rate for this role with forklift ticket is $32.20 per hour plus overtime paid at penalty rates.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

• Identify and sort scrap metals
• Move and load sorted materials into designated containers or storage areas
• Maintain cleanliness in the yard and operational areas
• Operate forklifts and perform manual handling tasks
• Adhere to workplace safety procedures at all times
• Immediately report any hazards or equipment malfunctions
  
  

Ideally You Will Have

• A valid forklift license – desirable but not essential
• Experience in scrap recycling, construction or manufacturing is highly advantageous
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced yard environment
• A positive and safety focused mindset with a general willingness to learn
• Passion for working as part of a collaborative team
