Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Apprentice

What you'll be doing

You will complete a Certificate III in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration through a combination of formal training with a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and practical on-the-job experience with Zeal Futures and our host employer, Climate Co Air & Refrigeration. You would be working in the Hunter region & Newcastle LGA, however there is sometimes work sites in Port Stephens and the Central Coast.

Throughout your formal training and practical experience in the workplace, you will have the opportunity to:

• Install split system air conditioning units with precision and care.
• Engage professionally with clients, delivering clear communication and excellent service throughout each project.
• Operate a variety of hand and power tools safely and efficiently to complete installations and maintenance tasks.
• General labour duties including site tasks, transporting equipment and cleaning.
• Carry out other duties that are within the limits of apprentice skills, competence and ability as required.

To be successful in this role, you'll need to meet the following selection criteria:

• Commitment to both on and off the job training.
• Strong, effective communication skills and a well-presented approachable demeanour.
• A proactive and positive attitude with genuine enthusiasm for the role and its responsibilities.

Mandatory Requirements

• White Card or willingness to obtain prior to employment.
• Driver's licence.
