The role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate cleaner to support NDIS participants. The cleaner will provide essential cleaning services, ensuring a safe and hygienic environment. The role requires professionalism, empathy, and keen attention to detail.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  1. Cleaning Services: Perform thorough cleaning tasks tailored to the needs of NDIS participants, including vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, dusting, disinfecting high-touch surfaces, washing windows, and emptying bins.
  2. Organizing common areas: Maintain cleanliness in living rooms, dining areas, and hallways.
  3. WHS Standards: Comply with health and safety regulations, using appropriate cleaning agents and PPE to ensure hygiene and safety.
  4. Respect for Privacy: Maintain confidentiality and respect the dignity of NDIS participants in their homes or designated spaces.
  5. Record Keeping: Keep accurate records of cleaning activities, schedules, and incidents as per organizational policies.
  6. Independence and Reporting: Work independently to meet contractual obligations and report issues promptly.

About you

  • Experience: Prior experience in professional cleaning, especially in residential or healthcare settings, is preferred. Experience with individuals with disabilities is a plus.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with cleaning techniques, equipment, products, and infection control principles.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written skills to interact effectively with diverse individuals.
  • Reliability: Dependable, punctual, with a strong work ethic and respect for confidentiality.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Travel, equipment, and chemical reimbursement are provided. Successful candidates will need to complete screening checks such as police checks and verification of work rights.
