Due to new projects starting, Ferrycarrig have opportunities for Excavator Operators to join our team.

Projects are based in North West Sydney.

Ferrycarrig is a leading constructor of utilities and civil infrastructure. We are a multi-disciplined contractor with the in-house resources and the capabilities to deliver all aspects of our projects.

We own and operate a large fleet of plant and equipment and employ a large, diverse workforce that has extensive experience delivering large and complex utilities and civil infrastructure projects.

Ferrycarrig has made a significant contribution to some of Sydney's largest and most significant infrastructure projects delivered in recent years, including Sydney Light Rail, Parramatta Light Rail, Sydney Metro, Western Sydney Airport, and the New Sydney Fish Markets.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Operating with GPS and multiple machinery types such as loaders, dozers, etc.
  • Work from plans to determine where essential services are located.
  • Operating 5-20 ton Excavators
  • Change and operate buckets, breakers etc.
  • Some Final Trim Work
  • Trenching & Back Filling
  • Works in a safe manner and attends a pre-start before commencement of work
  • Abide by all Site Safety rules and procedures and applicable Commonwealth, State and local safety rules
  • Carry all appropriate workplace licenses and other documentation on site at all times.

Is this job for me
  • 3+ years excavator operator experience
  • Confident digging around live services
  • Must have a White card
  • Must have Excavator VOC and statement of attainment
