PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Business

• To assume responsibility for all operational requirements for the Major Clients for the UK
• To deal with all aspects of International and Domestic freight movements (Import, Export by Sea, Air and / or Land)
• To raise trends within the business, and actively develop solutions with assistance of Branch / Operations Manager for maintaining positive momentum or correcting negative patterns
• To continually working with Best Practice processes to enable highest GP delivery / lowest financial impact
• To work in conjunction with sales in development and retention of all accounts
• To ensure profitability of accounts is maximised and loss-making accounts are challenged and addressed with Management
• To work with finance department both on payables and receivables to resolve issues
• To be involved in implementation of new business to ensure correct processes are in place prior to movement of goods to maintain service credibility
• To act as a conduit between customers and suppliers to ensure all needs are met within the specified delivery time
• To ensure all customer issues are resolved in a timely and professional manner
• To negotiate contract rates in accordance with business needs to ensure that economies of scale are met and best prices achieved for the Company and / or Client
• To perform any other duties not defined in the job description as reasonably requested / expected by the Company
