Base pay range

A$90.00/hr - A$120.00/hr

Looking for multiple x3 Senior Testers in Sydney to work on a large Workday Implementation, for a education client,

Location: Sydney (Hybrid) WFH

Payroll Testing Specialist x1

Requirements

  • 5-7+ years testing experience with exposure to payroll systems, integrations, and calculations on ERP platforms.
  • Proven track record validating payroll workflows, employment types (casual, permanent, retro pay), and Australian compliance scenarios.
  • Skilled at checking leave accruals, tax compliance, and reconciling payroll data across multiple systems for large workforces.

Core Skills

  • Design and run payroll tests on ERP platforms – Workday or PeopleSoft preferred, really after the conceptual skills within ERP and payroll so anyone with conceptual skills from another system will be highly desirable.
  • Perform integration testing with time‑and‑attendance solutions.

Senior HCM Testing Specialist x1

Requirements

  • 5-8+ years of experience testing, with strong knowledge of HR processes in Workday or a comparable HCM system.
  • Proven track record validating end‑to‑end hire‑to‑retire flows, including compensation, leave/absence, onboarding and overall employee lifecycle.
  • Experience in the education technology sector is a plus but not mandatory.

Core Skills

  • Strong functional QA skills – designing test cases and executing them accurately.

More of a generalist across systems not expecting a HCM/payroll specialist tester for this role.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 8 years of experience validating enterprise systems, especially middleware platforms such as Boomi (or equivalent).
  • Proven track record in System Integration Testing, end‑to‑end testing, UAT and data migration validation for higher‑education related areas like compliance and student operations.
  • Strong leadership skills – able to manage QA teams across multiple streams and take ownership of the System Integration / E2E testing stream.

Core Skills

  • ERP testing: hands‑on experience testing integrations with Salesforce, Workday, Boomi, etc.
  • Middleware validation: expertise in checking middleware batches, ETL logic, data authentication and payload transformations.
  • API/Web services testing: comfortable using Postman, SOAP UI and validating REST & SOAP API flows.
  • ETL / data testing: practical knowledge of Boomi, Informatica, Alteryx and SQL.
