Be part of our fun, guest service-focused team reporting to the General Manager. This is a leading role to ensure the Hotel is in perfect shape for our customers. Casual role.

The Maintenance Officer for the award-winning Alamanda Palm Cove By Lancemore will be responsible for maintaining a proactive preventative maintenance program throughout the property.

About The Role

You will build strong and collaborative relationships with all stakeholders, including guests, team members, and the Body Corporate. Responsibilities include implementing cost control measures, administration duties, inspecting work areas, coordinating stock takes, purchasing equipment, selecting contractors, managing a small team, and supervising external contractors. The successful applicant will ensure company standards, systems, and procedures are maintained.

About You
  • Positive and optimistic attitude – "we can do anything" approach
  • Experience with fixing day-to-day issues – lights, taps, paint, etc.
  • Logical problem-solving skills
  • Ability to coordinate contractors for efficient results
  • Customer-focused mindset to maintain high standards
  • Knowledge of a trade is beneficial
  • Understanding of relevant legislation, standards, and codes of practice highly regarded
  • Supervisory experience in maintenance activities within a fast-moving, lean environment
  • Hotel experience is preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)

The successful applicant will have support from the hotel's General Manager and The Lancemore Group's management team to help achieve success.
