As the Digital Content Specialist, you are responsible for the production of multimedia content including video and photography for our award-winning publication INTHEBLACK, working within a high-performing editorial and digital content team.The role includes filming, editing and video production, coordinating the delivery of video content, coordinating photography for INTHEBLACK, and podcast production.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate and plan the filming and production of video content for INTHEBLACK, including ideation, writing scripts, filming, editing, obtaining internal signoffs and liaising internally for delivery on digital channels
  • Work with INTHEBLACK's video partner agency on video content, including liaising with the agency on discovery calls, scripts, filming locations and internal review process
  • Coordinate photography for member profiles in the INTHEBLACK digital magazine, including booking, briefing and liaising with photographers and onboarding new photographers when required
  • Write internal communications to promote each magazine issue and proactively identify other opportunities to promote the editorial content team and content internally
  • Monitor content performance and take steps to optimise and improve effectiveness
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define and deliver on content objectives
  • Develop and maintain quality working relationships with external vendors, suppliers and agencies

This opportunity is a fixed term contract role until 28th September 2026

About You:

With this role requiring the following distribution of your workload,

  • Video filming, editing and production: 50%
  • Photography production: 20%
  • Podcast production: 20%
  • Other responsibilities: 10%

you will need a Tertiary qualification in video journalism and editing, or equivalent relevant industry experience as well as:

  • Ability to film, produce and edit high quality videos particularly for social media and YouTube.
  • Working knowledge of editing software including but not limited to Adobe Premiere Pro and Photoshop
  • Demonstrated professional experience in coordinating and executing content strategies that support strategic initiatives as well as specific content goals
  • Demonstrated experience in working with internal resources and external suppliers to create engaging content that meets strategic objectives
  • Demonstrated capability in managing stakeholder and subject matter expert relationships with high degree of interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong capability to direct and prioritise own work, as well as work effectively in a collaborative team environment
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow set processes
  • Experience using data analysis platforms like Google Studio and Adobe Analytics to uncover insights for content improvement desirable
