Horsham Patient Transport Officer

RFDS provides emergency, aeromedical, and primary health services for rural and remote Australians. Mobile Patient Care (MPC), a division of RFDS, offers non-emergency patient transport primarily in Victoria and New South Wales, supporting services with RFDS aircraft and ambulances.
About the roleWe are seeking Patient Transport Officers for flexible casual roles in Horsham and Stawell. Our team delivers high-quality patient care during transport of various medical conditions, with structured training, professional growth opportunities, and a supportive culture.
Key responsibilities include:- Perform patient assessment and intervention on-road
- Provide high-quality patient care during transport
- Develop positive relationships with patients and stakeholders
- Assess intervention effectiveness following RFDS MPC guidelines and regulations
- Work independently and collaboratively within policies and procedures
- Maintain understanding of RFDS MPC policies and NEPT regulations
- Cert III in Non-Emergency Patient Care, Diploma of Nursing, or equivalent; Bachelor of Health Science (Paramedic) students may apply after second-year coursework
- Experience in NEPT sector preferred but not essential
- Full Victorian Driver's Licence and ability to drive in diverse traffic conditions
- Availability for shifts across a 7-day roster (no night shifts)
