About the TeamOur Signals Maintenance team has one permanent Signal Electrician role located at Fairfield. In this role you will carry out the installation, maintenance and repair of all signalling equipment and report on the performance and condition of the signalling asset to ensure it's safe and effective operation in the SEQ region.
The team currently work a rolling 7-week roster, Sunday to Friday Shifts: 5:00am – 2:30pm | 2:00pm – 11:30pm | 8:30pm – 6:00am. Penalties rates apply. This roster can change with business requirements.
Responsibilities- Ensure all work is performed in accordance with Workplace Health and Safety (WH&S) requirements and legislative policies including work activities performed by subordinate employees
- Ensure all work is performed in accordance with technical and operational specification and standards including work activities performed by subordinate employees
- Install, maintain and fault finding / repair of signalling equipment
- Maintain all records and associated documentation relating to asset condition, maintenance programs and costing systems
- Report on actual work performed against the scheduled work program and report any equipment performance and condition irregularities
- Perform Protection Officer duties as required
- Cert IV Electrical Railway Signalling, desirable but not mandatory to hold (internal training supplied for successful candidates)
- Queensland Electrical Mechanic Licence
- C Class Drivers Licence
- Organisational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
