Your Opportunity

Skills

As a Casual Clinical Facilitator, you will be engaged in a current nursing practice to facilitate student learning and development of knowledge and skills in a clinical simulation environment, ensuring all aspects of student training, supervision and assessment are met. You will:
  • Make an academic and professional contribution to the teaching program and service delivery of the discipline including integration of theory with practice and achievement of expected outcomes.
  • Link with industry, schools, universities, community, other TAFE and VET providers.
  • Maintaining currency with industry practices, workplace delivery and contemporary teaching methodologies and philosophies.
  • Working in an environment of ongoing change and continuous improvement

TAFE Queensland regularly has vacancies (short and long term) for educators in various qualification delivery areas. This talent pool may be open for up to 12 months and is for opportunities as they become available.

Mandatory Qualifications/Requirements
  • Bachelor of Nursing
  • Post Graduate qualification in a related area;
  • Current Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) Registration;
  • Minimum 5 years post-graduate clinical experience
  • Possession of one of the following training and assessment credentials:
  • TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or its successor; or
  • TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment; or
  • TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment; plus:
  • TAELLN411 or its successor or TAELLN401A; and
  • TAEASS502 or its successor or TAEASS502A or TAEASS502B; or
  • A credential issued by a higher education provider which would enable the individual to satisfy the academic requirements for registration as a secondary school teacher and one (1) of the following credentials:
  • TAESS00024 VET Delivered to School Students Teacher Enhancement Skill Set or its successor, or
  • TAESS00019 Assessor Skill Set or its successor; or
  • TAESS00011 Assessor Skill Set; or
  • A diploma or higher-level qualification in adult or vocational education (approved by TAFE Queensland)

Note : Proof of qualifications and industry currency/experience to be provided at interview.

Highly Desirable Requirements
  • Clinical expertise in an area of Nursing practice
  • High level of digital literacy skills across various platforms (online Learning Managment Systems)
