About The Role

We are looking for an experienced Manager that is a logical and strategic thinker with extensive management experience. In this role you will be responsible for the management of Textiles Business Units operations providing oversight and guidance to staff, as well as maintaining key relationships between senior managers across Corrective Services and external stakeholders. Managers of Industries Level 2 are trade qualified Correctional Officers with the essential role of managing and supervising inmates and staff in their work-related activities within a correctional centre.

Successful candidates will receive paid training to undertake Certificate III in Correctional Practice at the Brush Farm Corrective Services Academy training facility.

Responsibilities include managing, planning, controlling and developing business opportunities, manufacturing and/or service industries within the CSI Textiles and Laundry Divisions, delivering high quality, commercially viable products while providing education and vocational development opportunities for inmates.

Essential Requirements
  • Current Certificate III in Correctional Practice or capacity to complete Certificate III in Correctional Practice in accordance with specified CSNSW timeframes
  • Current NSW Driver Licence and preparedness to drive a vehicle in the course of performing the role
  • Relevant trade or tertiary qualifications (minimum Certificate III) in Production Management or Applied Fashion Design and Technology or similar trade

Assignment to this role is subject to Criminal Records Check, Medical and Capability Assessments.

Corrective Services NSW (CSNSW) delivers professional correctional services and programs to reduce re-offending and enhance community safety. As an important element of the criminal justice system, CSNSW manages remand and sentenced inmates as well as offenders in the community.
