Transport Compliance Manager - Bulk Haulage

Join our rapidly growing company, operating in the civil, mining, and agricultural sectors of Western Australia for the past 5 years. Batth Transport provides services to these sectors to our valued clients.

Due to recent growth and new contract awards, we are seeking a multi-skilled Transport Compliance Manager to lead daily operations overseeing our fleet and subcontractors' KPIs and compliance.

The Role:

You will be responsible for managing compliance and subcontractors on key projects, ensuring efficiency and ongoing performance of the fleet and operators. This leadership role reports directly to the Managing Director and includes oversight of compliance, maintenance coordination, scheduling, and subcontractor management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily subcontractor management, including scheduling and compliance.
  • Coordinate with mechanics at our Midwest Depot for vehicle servicing, compliance, maintenance, and audits.
  • Manage compliance, motivate and lead a team of drivers and subcontractors.
  • Provide fleet compliance reports, daily tonnage reconciliation, and KPI updates to the Managing Director and administration team.
  • Opportunities to transition into a business development role are welcome but not essential.
  • Foster a strong safety-first culture across all operations.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in compliance supervision within transport or operations management in the WA bulk haulage industry.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and people management skills.
  • Knowledge of trucking equipment, side-tippers, safety hardware, and compliance systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and transport management platforms, with innovative ideas.

This role can be performed from Geraldton or Perth, with minimal on-ground presence required each month. Flexible working arrangements and work-from-home options can be negotiated.
