The Opportunity

ActewAGL's Retail Commercial Group is seeking a commercially astute and analytically driven Senior Commercial Analyst to join our dynamic Planning & Analysis team. About the team

The Planning & Analysis team delivers commercial and financial analysis to Retail Executives, enabling stronger commercial outcomes across business initiatives.

A day in the life of a Senior Commercial Analyst

As a Senior Commercial Analyst, you'll play a key role in interpreting the Retail strategy and delivering financial reviews of business initiatives. You'll support the business and team through:

  • Developing budgets, forecasts and other financial modelling.
  • Commercial and data analysis for strategic opportunities and business reporting.
  • Preparing Board papers and executive presentations.
  • Collaborating across teams to evaluate projects, contracts, and performance metrics.
  • Driving process improvements and supporting regulatory reporting.

What you'll bring

  • Tertiary qualifications in Finance or a related field.
  • CPA or CAANZ membership.
  • 5+ years' experience in commercial finance or management accounting.
  • Expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in tools like Power BI, Oracle, Excel, TM1, or EPM.
  • A proactive, resilient, and collaborative mindset.
